A short story about

Forgiving the World

As a animal parent and rescue advocate, I sometimes make time to view dog rescue videos on YouTube and make monthly donations to support the incredibly difficult, heart-led work these rescuers perform. While each story is emotionally moving, recently one specific rescue shifted something deep within my soul. The rescuers had found an abandoned dog—badly injured and hovering near death. Yet, as they approached him, he somehow found the strength to lift his head and wag his tail. In that moment, the narrator said this:

❝...and with the wag of his tail,

he already forgave the world for the

painful hand he was dealt in life. ❞

Those words landed in a place I didn’t know was still guarded. I realized I had been holding a quiet, protective stance against the cruelty I see in the world—and against the pain I’ve carried myself. In that moment, the story on my computer screen became something else entirely. It became a mirror, a mirror of my own suffering and emotional abandonment. It became a mirror to all the world's suffering that I had read, seen and heard about and unconsciously internalized.

Watching that inncoent wounded animal respond not with bitterness, but with openness, touched something long defended within my heart. The tears came, not from sadness alone, but from release. As they fell, a wave of forgiveness moved through me—unplanned, unreasoned, spontaneous. Not as an excuse for harm, not as a denial of suffering, but a letting go of the need to harden in response to it. My heart felt wider, less guarded, more available to life again. That resilient dog embodied the presence of a true spiritual teacher. Not everyone would recognize his true identity and gifts for humanity and he was fine with that.

In the end, I reconnected with an essential truth: That through a simple tail-wagging gesture, I remembered that forgiveness is not always a decision we make—it is sometimes simply a spontaneous reconnection with a state we already ARE—our own true identity that lies at the core of our being that IS innocence, that IS forgiveness, that IS acceptance, that IS unconditional love.

May moments like these continue to remind us that even in a seemingly harsh world,

grace can arise without effort—and that freedom from suffering can happen

the instant we open our hearts to forgiveness.

Doors to the higher dimensions are opening.

The unicorns are from the 12th dimension and carry the energy of pure bliss. As the spiritual energies are intensifying here on Earth, the unicorns have arrived to help us navigate the new dimensions that are opening to us. They are telling me that many humans have done the inner work necessary to "graduate" to a new level of consciousness. We are no longer restricted by the dense, heavy energies of the past or by what we see taking place around us. Look past mere appearances and instead to the growing light within your own heart. Think of this as an invitation to walk through a literal portal where our thoughts manifest faster and our intuition is much sharper than ever before. The unicorns are here to guide our every stride into a brilliant new reality, helping us bridge the gap between the world we knew and the magic that awaits.
